Randall Lavender
Owner

Randall started his health & fitness background as a PRT Coordinator for the U.S. Navy. During his eight years in the Navy Randall developed weight loss and exercise programs and ensured that the men and women excelled in their daily fitness levels. Randall then moved up to an Air Traffic Controller for the U.S. Navy making sure all planned arrivals and departures ran as efficient and safe as possible.

Starting his entrepreneurial skills at age 10 Randall would plant and grow vegetables in his parents back yard then selling them at local farmers markets in the Dallas-Fort Worth MetroPlex. At age 15 Randall had his first employed job as a bicycle technician.

Randall attended Southwest Texas State University where he received his Bachelors in Communications. Since then Randall has gone on to start and develop many successful businesses in the San Marcos area. Randall took over ownership of Texas Health & Racquet Club in 2002 previously known as Jim’s Gym for over 20 years. Randall made the purchase because he wanted to bring San Marcos a ‘true state of the art fitness center.’

When asked “Where will THRC be in 5 years?” Randall answered: “Still being Hays County’s #1 Health Club!”

Jessica Warren
Manager

Hi, my name is Jessica Warren, the manager of Texas Health and Racquet Club. I am so excited to be leading a team that continues to strive above the rest and will remain the "Best Health Club in Hays County".  I am dedicated to customer service, member appreciation and most of all, fitness!

My passion for health and wellness began during my time in College Station, Texas as an undergraduate student. I began my journey teaching fitness classes and quickly realized how much I enjoyed helping others to change their lifestyle. It wasn't until spending time in a physical therapy clinic working with post rehab clients that I made the decision to become a personal trainer and gear my education towards the path of exercise science.

I received my Bachelors in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University and my Masters of Education from Texas State University. Working in a multitude of fitness environments along the way has provided me with many challenges and unique experiences that have led me to where I am today.

I am thrilled to have a found my career in fitness and my home at Texas Health and Racquet Club.

See you at the gym!
